So as of late I have been fairly drained. I have been meaning to post for days and just have not feeling it. I've been trying to redesign the blog but it's still not how I want it yet.
I had a great Saturday with my best friend. We went to the spa in the morning and got pedicures and facials. Then we went downtown and looked at wedding dresses for her and bead shops for me! I got some great metal working tools which I will be working with.
I did do the first weeks assignment for Bowl of Lemons, I just am having a hard time keeping organized this week with my thoughts and plans. Not really sure why! I am working on week two but I can not seem to get inspired. No mater what I do I am overwhelmed by the front hall. I have tried to organize it multiple times. Is there anything I can do when it is winter and I have three small kids and all the stuff that goes with them?
I will try to update more. Later.
On a positive note Chris got me a month pass to a hot yoga club to start whenever I want. I just need to figure out when I have the motivation to start going and when it wont conflict with lmy trip to Oregon! (Which I can not wait for)
The Earth Mother is a motif that appears in many mythologies. The Earth Mother is a fertile goddess embodying the fertile earth and typically the mother of other deities, and so, also are seen as patronesses of motherhood. This is generally thought of as being because the earth was seen as being the mother from whom all life sprang. The Rigveda calls the Female power, Mahimata (R.V. 1.164.33), a term which literally means Mother Earth.

A Bowl Full of Lemons....
So I recently discovered a fantastic blog, A Bowl Full of Lemons!
She is running a weekly cleaning and organizational challenge. It starts tomorrow and you have a week to try to complete each activity!
I can't wait for it to start!
I also got the great idea from her blog about an organizational center! I will post pictures of mine when I am done!

Happy New Year!
Hello internet universe! I haven't posted in a while! I do have a good reason though...
Baby Malcolm's first Christmas!
So Malcolm was born Nov 27th. 8 lbs 6 oz. He is a fairly easy baby (We were blessed with all easy babies)! The other two are adjusting well and can't wait to share their toys and games with him! Christmas was great. My mother visited, my sister had her twins, we stayed with the in-laws most of the winter break, and in general had lots of help and rest. Both of which were fantastic to have! I hope I can find the time to post more this year. I am also planning to get back into yoga and regular exercise since I was pregnant most of last year! I hope all of you had a great holiday season and a great new year!

Snowflakes and Snowmen!

Though we have not really had any snow here yet! (Not counting the small flurries on Halloween!) I love this program on Better Homes and Garden's website. Makes me want to get decorating!

Favorite Things.....
So I am hoping to use this blog more often as I have been inspired by several others blogs. We will see how it goes!
I am inspired in my crafting, art, decorating, everything by many different things. I would like to think I see the beauty in things that even are not typically 'pretty'. Of course there are all those very pretty things as well. Of course I have a head full of ideas and actually doing any of them are not always possible. Thus the use of this blog to categorize and keep track of the things I love, the things I hate, the things I actually get the chance to do!
Here are a few images that I think speak to my design aesthetic.

Above: A beautiful craft center! Love the light open feeling!
Picture from Pottery Barn.

Above: Dinning Room that is my current inspiration for my own. I recently painted one wall green and another yellow to pick up on the colors in my curtains. I wish I had the moldings all done the same!
Picture from House Beautiful.

Above: Country Kitchen! I actually like the colors in my current kitchen better but I love the usage of the pops of green inside the cabinets.
Picture from House Beautiful.

Above: Oh how I would die to have stairs that were not only painted but had this much character! Somehow this sums up everything I love about decor! Who could not love this? Picture from Country Living.
