The Earth Mother is a motif that appears in many mythologies. The Earth Mother is a fertile goddess embodying the fertile earth and typically the mother of other deities, and so, also are seen as patronesses of motherhood. This is generally thought of as being because the earth was seen as being the mother from whom all life sprang. The Rigveda calls the Female power, Mahimata (R.V. 1.164.33), a term which literally means Mother Earth.

Kids Room Tools
So these are the tool used for what I did to the kids room!
A compass!
A level!
Paint!

Paint!
I used Behr Apple Core for the walls. Painting several coats over a dark green and taupe. For the accent colors I used CIL Falling Rain, Sunshower, and Woodley.
I started with a random sized circle with the compass, drew a line parallel, or horizontal, connecting with more circles. I then filled in with paint by hand. It really didn't take too long! Painting the room the main color took the longest. The kids seem to love it! In a month I can put up the vinyl letters I have for them on the wall I left just apple core.
What I used to create my kids room.

Finding Inspiration!
I went to Michaels yesterday and grabbed two of my FAVORITE magazines!
Artful Blogging is always introducing me to new ways to think about art and how to showcase it as well as to many beautiful artists and fantastic blogs!
Belle Armoire Jewelry also is great for new ideas on how to use my jewelry products in new ways. I have started working on several new things! Updates to follow!

Not so inspired...
So as of late I have been fairly drained. I have been meaning to post for days and just have not feeling it. I've been trying to redesign the blog but it's still not how I want it yet.
I had a great Saturday with my best friend. We went to the spa in the morning and got pedicures and facials. Then we went downtown and looked at wedding dresses for her and bead shops for me! I got some great metal working tools which I will be working with.
I did do the first weeks assignment for Bowl of Lemons, I just am having a hard time keeping organized this week with my thoughts and plans. Not really sure why! I am working on week two but I can not seem to get inspired. No mater what I do I am overwhelmed by the front hall. I have tried to organize it multiple times. Is there anything I can do when it is winter and I have three small kids and all the stuff that goes with them?
I will try to update more. Later.
On a positive note Chris got me a month pass to a hot yoga club to start whenever I want. I just need to figure out when I have the motivation to start going and when it wont conflict with lmy trip to Oregon! (Which I can not wait for)

A Bowl Full of Lemons....
So I recently discovered a fantastic blog, A Bowl Full of Lemons!
She is running a weekly cleaning and organizational challenge. It starts tomorrow and you have a week to try to complete each activity!
I can't wait for it to start!
I also got the great idea from her blog about an organizational center! I will post pictures of mine when I am done!

Happy New Year!
Hello internet universe! I haven't posted in a while! I do have a good reason though...
Baby Malcolm's first Christmas!
So Malcolm was born Nov 27th. 8 lbs 6 oz. He is a fairly easy baby (We were blessed with all easy babies)! The other two are adjusting well and can't wait to share their toys and games with him! Christmas was great. My mother visited, my sister had her twins, we stayed with the in-laws most of the winter break, and in general had lots of help and rest. Both of which were fantastic to have! I hope I can find the time to post more this year. I am also planning to get back into yoga and regular exercise since I was pregnant most of last year! I hope all of you had a great holiday season and a great new year!
